Very good quality lens, quite small overall (neat to carry in the pocket...though eaiser to lose), if you want a better-than average lens at a good price, this is a good choice.

{Applications / Quality}
Generally, loupes are used by jewellers and antiques traders for looking at very small marks; by horologists and engineers for inspecting very small parts; by stamp and coin dealers; as a basic field instrument for biologists and geologists.

Specifically, this is the most popular amongst general traders, not because there's anything amazing about the optical quality, but because it really is quite OK in quality AND because many traders keep losing their loupe, so they don't want to spend too much money replacing it. Many traders keep a really good quality loupe in the office and use one of these when travelling.
