From the German company Schweizer, 10X35 (10X magnification with a 35mm diameter lens).

As a reading lens this is quite small, though you do get a whopping 10X magnification for your money. As a reader for the partially-sighted I think Schweizer have over-stretched themselves here, it is just too powerful (my opinion). If your sight is that poor, go for a digital magnifier instead. HOWEVER, this is a good alternative to a jeweller's loupe, especially if you were considering the £89.00 Zeiss.; this Scheizer certainly gives you the absolute highest magnification for the largest possible lens size.

Can be used as a handheld magnifier, but it is also designed so that it can rest on the page (more comfortable for prolonged reading). Very bright LED light.

Click on the picture to see a some larger pictures, notice the view of some print through the lens, although the magnification is correct, the photo was taken from a few inches away and so it appears distorted, it is far clearer when you move your eye close to the lens.

We also have several models of Schweizer on special special offer! There are several models but in very limited quantity (between 2 and 4 of each), click here to see them.

Magnification / lens size in mm: 10X35

Light: LED

Lens material: Plastic

Origin / brand: from Schweizer, Germany

Presentation / extras: nice box

Why is the price is so low? (the retail price is £66.00).

Because we bought a 'job lot' of Schweizer magnifiers from a large company - they bought them from Schweizer (i.e. these ARE genuine!) then decided not to deal in optics.

This does mean that once these have gone there will be no more!
