{Applications / Quality}
Generally, loupes are used by jewellers and antiques traders for looking at very small marks; by horologists and engineers for inspecting very small parts; by stamp and coin dealers; as a basic field instrument for biologists and geologists.

Specifically, if you REALLY need a loupe as powerful as 20X magnification, you won't get better quality than this. Personally, I prefer 10X, but there ARE some (rare) times that a 20X is required. For iinstance, for reading particularly small laser-engraving on diamonds; for identifying very small insects; for inspecting the condition of watche jewels.

For gemstones and jewellery, stamps and coins, plant and insect samples, it's better to get a really good quality 10X loupe than one that is "very powerful", the quality will be better, the image will be crisper, the focussing will be easier, click here.
The most powerful loupes are never the quality of a microscope, click here. Or try a top quality and hands-free surgeon's-type magnifier, click here.
