{Summary}
Discontinued item, there are no more once sold out.

Magnifier that sits on a desk, with built in light. 2.8X 100X80mm

Built-in very bright LED light.

Rests on the page, plenty of room for working under (e.g. scribo-ling), comfortably angled towards the user, nice open design with along working distance (100mm).

Although this is designed as a magnifier for the partially-sighted, it happens to be the strength of an average watchmaker's eyeglass and would be just amazing for working on watches. £59.00 might seem a lot when you can buy an eyeglass for £2.00, but when you consider that a low-power stereo microscope costs £100.00 to £200.00, this is remarkable value.

{Alternatives}
Not quite what you were looking for? You want a magnifier that rests on the page for reading? We have a few of these, especially designed for the partially-sighted, see our rest-on-page magnifiers

Too small? Need a stand magnifier that is larger, with space to work under? See our large stand magnifiers (bench magnifiers).

Not good enough?! Need a microscope? click here.

Almost right, but you DO need something considerably more powerful (a large single lens is ALWAYS low-power), AND it must still give stereo vision. Try the type of head-worn magnifier surgeons use. click here. These are good for watch repairing or for work on micro-circuits.
