The problem with microscopes is that they tend to be large, and also the more powerful the lens the closer it has to be to the object and that means using a powerful light too. This really is quite unique in that they have kept the size down, it's the same size as a large loupe (30 X 30 X 14mm), AND it has a really powerful LED light.
The manufacturers has printed "45X" on it, so I have advertised the magnification as 45X, because people believe what is printed on an item, not what I say. But I say: it isn't 45X, it might be 20X, it might even be 25X. Of course, the actual magnification isn't THAT important, you may notice that we have 2X to 8X microscope for over £1000.00.
