I always point out that jewellers cutters are for cutting soft metals such as gold, silver or copper. Any cutter will cut through thin steel (e.g. a standard paperclip) if you squeeze hard enough, but you will put dents in the cutter, after which you should put it in the bin. This cutter will cut through a paperclip effortlessly, and will not dent. This is the best one for 'stripping' scrap of its non-gold parts easily and quickly.
