Second hand heavy duty tripod. It looks quite small in the picture. It isn't - it's 8Kg.

What plate does it take? Would it take a heavy 8x10 camera? Thanks
The top of the plate measures 85mm (to the inside of the slots) X 100mm long. I don't know what the fitting is on your camera, but you would have to make yourself a plate 85X100 with a screw-thread on the top to match the camera. You then screw the camera to the thread, slide the plate into the mount, and it locks with the lever - identical system to the 'lock' on tripods for SLR cameras. Although this involves some work, it's very easy for an engineer to do, just give them the camera and tripod.
