Can be used as a handheld magnifier, but it is also designed so that it can rest on the page (more comfortable for prolonged reading). Very bright LED light.

Comments

As a reading lens this is quite small, though you do get a whopping 10X magnification for your money. If your sight is that poor then you really do have big problems - you will have to peer very closely, you will only see one or two words at a time...but this might work if no other magnifier works for you.

The photo of what you will see through the lens is a 'true' photo, it has not been enhanced (i.e. the text really does appear that large and that clear).

Why is the price is so low? (the retail price is £66.00).

Because we bought a 'job lot' of Schweizer magnifiers from a large company - they bought them from Schweizer (i.e. these ARE genuine!) then decided not to deal in optics.

We have less than 20 of these, once they are gone there will be no more!

* Want a wider field of view? Try a lower magnification. Field of view and magnification are connected, that's the way handheld lenses work, there is no choice, it's a 'rule' of optics, the higher the magnification the narrower the field of view.
