Guarantee

10 years. This covers manufacturing faults only, it excludes normal wear and tear, bowls, trays, finishes, clasps, hinges, feet, AC adaptors and batteries; it also excludes being overloaded / dropped (e.g. error messages EEE, 0-Ld, or OUEr). The guarantee is invalid if the scale shows signs of foreign material (e.g. residues of herbs, chemicals, corrosion, spilt tea).  After 1 year you must pay the postage both ways.

Inaccurate readings can be fixed by calibrating the scale, this is something that is very easy for you to do yourself with the 50g and 20g weights supplied.  Giving inaccurate readings does not mean it is broken - all electronic measuring devices need calibrating every now and again, see calibrating weighing machines

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Hello - please could you tell me what the resolution is when using grains .. ie. 0.1gn or 0.01gn or 0.001gn I need a scale that can measure 0.01 grain. Thank you

    0.1gn.

Looks like you'll need a scale that reads to 0.0001g, we don't have such a scale.

  • Would this scale be accurate enough to taper medication ? I have a 15mg pill that I need to reduce in 1mg increments.

The scale is sensitive enough (1mg = 0.001g).

How you’re going to remove 1/000thg is quite another matter.

  • Is the On Balance CTP-250 scale suitable for dynamic weighing (adding and removing small amounts of powder until you get the required weight)?

Yes you can add or remove small amounts of powder until you get the required weight (providing you don't move or bump the scale whilst weighing/adding/removing).

However, "Dynamic weighing" means the object is moving, e.g. a live animal and this scale cannot cope with that.

  • Hello, please can I use this scale for rough diamond or I prefer you send me the most accurate scale for rough diamond weight.

You can use the same scale for cut diamond and rough diamond, the weights are the same. This scale (the CTP-250) is the best one.
